Our new review of Arctic and Antarctic environmental threats shows how clear conservation lessons can be learned between the poles. Climate change is the primary threat to polar environments, and must be mitigated. However, in the short to medium term, it is also vital to address the following threats that interact with climate change: chemical contamination, fisheries overexploitation and invasive species. By sharing lessons across poles, we can better deal with these threats. Here is a link to our paper: Polar lessons learned.
